AWARD CATEGORIES
The RE:Fashion Awards consist of twelve awards in three categories. Every aspect of the fashion supply chain is covered, from raw material to final product.
The awards are open to designers, businesses and organizations working in the fashion sector, including footwear and accessories. Entrants are accepted from around the world.

Designers
The RE:Designer of the Year Awards celebrate outstanding design coupled with pioneering sustainable practices.
There are two designer of the year awards: RE:Fashion Designer for businesses which have been trading for at least 1 year and have a proven track record; and New RE:Designer, for fashion students or graduates who have been in business for less than three years.

Making a Difference
The Making a Difference Awards celebrate initiatives which have achieved real positive change in the fashion sector.
Judges will be looking for evidence of the positive impact that your organisation has had on people and/or the environment.
This category is open to large organizations which have focused upon one product line (e.g. organic, fair trade) as well as smaller organizations which have addressed sustainability throughout their supply chains.

Innovation
The Innovation Awards celebrate innovative initiatives and ideas with enormous potential to achieve positive change in the fashion industry.
Entries will be judged both on the basis of impacts already achieved and the potential for positive change. Judges will be looking for pioneers.

London fashion week prize
The Estethica prize will be awarded to the winner of the New RE:Designer of the year and a small selection of shortlisted designers to exhibit their collections during London Fashion Week for two seasons, a unique way to be seen by international press and buyers at the industry’s most important ethical fair. Estethica, a British Fashion Council initiative, is the much acclaimed area dedicated to sustainable fashion within the Exhibition at London Fashion Week (in association with Monsoon Accessorize and cocurated by From Somewhere’s Orsola de Castro and Filippo Ricci).
Ethical Pure Commercial Prize
The ‘Ethical Pure’ Commercial Prize for the Best New Womenswear brand 2008 will be awarded to one mid to high end womenswear brand. The winner will receive a free 6 square meter stand to show their collection at Pure London together with pre-show marketing and web profile on the Pure website. Pure is the UK's largest and one of Europe's most exciting fashion trade events for womenswear, young creative brands, footwear and accessories.
UnLtd Ethical Fashion Prize
UnLtd will be awarding the UnLtd Ethical Fashion Prize to one young volunteer at RE:Fashion as part of the Big Challenge. Volunteers helping out on the night will be given the opportunity to pitch for £1000 prize to launch their ethical fashion idea.
The Big Challenge, in partnership with UnLtd and Changemakers, gives young people the power and the trust to find innovative solutions to the major challenges that society face today. 16-25 year olds from across the UK are invited to bid for part of the annual £60 000 Challenge fund to address key social themes. This year the theme chosen by the Young Leaders of the programme is called Your Life, Your Decision and is about helping young people make positive choices about their lives.
