Consumers are increasingly demanding ethical standards in the fashion they buy. The market for ethical fashion is growing year on year by 30%, and 27% of consumers say they will spend more on ethically produced fashion.
The RE:Fashion Awards represent the first official, international initiative to promote and showcase leaders and pioneers in terms of sustainable fashion practices.
Winners and runners up (3 per award) will be profiled and collections showcased on the catwalk at the most exciting fashion event of the year (London, November '08) to an audience of celebrities, press, buyers, industry professionals and the public.
Award winners and runners up will receive extensive national and international media attention, through our media partners and beyond. Judges commendations will also be issued to applicants which are considered outstanding but do not make the final shortlist.
Profiles of winners, runners up, and commended applicants will be showcased online on the RE:Source Best Practice Database.RE:Source is set to become the worlds number one ethical sourcing, buying and resource database with thousands of users.
