Sital Punja is founder of Sari UK Limited, a social enterprise which brings together fashion, recycling and international aid.

The label launched in 2003 and since securing a design grant from London Remade has gone on a remarkable journey from being stocked in high end boutiques such as Koh Samui and Cricket, to training unemployed Bangledeshi women in accessory production.

Sital is passionate about ethical fashion, sitting on a variety of panels and boards and was also one of the founder members of the Ethical Fashion Forum. Currently, Sital is working with Newham College to develop a network for eco designers called Eco Design Network

Since entering the world of ethical fashion, Sital has become a leading consultant and advocate of ethical fashion and in 2007 won Edge Upstart’s Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Eastern Eye’s Business in the Community Award and Courvoisier’s Public Life Award.
