Karen K. Youdell has worked in the Fashion Industry for over 25 years  In the early Eighties, joined the British Fashion Icon Zandra Rhodes, where she was appointed Commercial Director.  During this time Karen successfully developed and managed a brand licensing programme for the Rhodes brand that resulted in a portfolio of over 40 licences in the UK, Japan and America.

In 1992, Karen formed a Sales, Marketing and Business Development consultancy which is now trading as INHOUSE Enterprises Limited.  Clients include, Zandra Rhodes, top British jewellery designers such as Anna Lou of London, Jamie Jewellery and internationally known Jewellery Designer Fabrizio Giannone.

With a special interest in the Jewellery field, Karen and INHOUSE has worked with glamorous household names such as Joan Collins and Britt Ekland to develop  Jewellery ranges.   Instrumental in brokering UK Licensed Eyewear brands such as Red or Dead, Austin Reed and Frank Usher, brand licensing is one of Karen’s areas of expertise.

Whilst Karen feels that Ethical and Fair Trading is a given, she is passionate in her belief that innovative and good design should go hand in hand with these practices.  In her belief that Ethical and Fair Trading products can grow and survive in the commercial arena, she has become involved in initiatives in this area and is fully behind the ground breaking RE: Awards event.  Karen has no doubt that this is the future of the fashion industry and would like to see more Fashion Accessories brands going Ethical.

One of INHOUSE’S long term clients Cocowai luxury cashmere has adopted ethical practices from beginning of trading and has inspired Karen to look to bring on board more Ethical brands.
